Online Notary Services for Multiple Signers

Updated 2026-09-29 · Competitor pricing verified 2026-09-06

Every major online notary platform supports more than one signer in a single session, and every one charges for it. The additional-signer fee is $5 on BlueNotary and $10 on Notaron, Notarize (Proof), OneNotary and NotaryCam. A document signed by four people with one notarial act therefore costs $25 + $10 + $10 + $10 = $55 on Notaron. Signers can join from one device together, or from separate devices in separate places.

Signers and seals are billed separately

These are two different fees, and confusing them is how a multi-party document gets mispriced. The additional-signer fee covers identity-verifying another person in the session. The additional-seal fee covers a second notarial certificate, which you need when the document carries more than one notarial act, or when you are notarizing more than one document in the same session. A two-signer, two-seal document costs $25 + $10 + $5 = $40 on Notaron and $25 + $10 + $15 = $50 on Notarize (Proof).

Same device or separate devices

Signers may share one device and appear together on camera, or each join from their own device and their own location. Notarize (Proof) states that its signers may share a device, use multiple devices simultaneously, or take separate meetings. Notaron supports signers joining the same live session from separate devices. Either way the notary must be able to see and identify each signer.

Witnesses are a third category

Some documents — wills, and certain deeds and powers of attorney, depending on the state — need witnesses in addition to signers. A witness is not a signer for pricing purposes. You can normally bring your own witness into the session at no cost, or have the platform provide one; Notaron provides witnesses at $15 each. Check your state's witnessing requirement for the document type before the session, because a missing witness ends the appointment.

What to get right before the session

Each signer needs their own government-issued photo identification and their own way to receive the verification steps. Names on the identification must match the names on the document. If one signer cannot complete identity verification the whole session stalls, so check the spelling and the identification for every party in advance rather than discovering the mismatch live.

Frequently asked questions

Can two people be notarized in the same online session?
Yes, on every platform compared here. The second signer costs $5 on BlueNotary and $10 on Notaron, Notarize (Proof), OneNotary and NotaryCam. They can share a device or join separately.
Do all signers have to be in the same place?
No. Signers can join a remote online notarization from different locations on different devices. This is one of the main practical advantages of remote notarization over a mobile notary appointment.
How much does a power of attorney with two signers cost?
If it carries one notarial act, $25 plus one additional-signer fee. If it carries two notarial acts, add the additional-seal fee: $25 + $10 + $5 = $40 on Notaron, $25 + $10 + $15 = $50 on Notarize (Proof), $25 + $10 + $10 = $45 on OneNotary, and about $35 on BlueNotary.
Is a witness the same as a signer?
No. A signer executes the document and is identified by the notary. A witness observes the signing and attests to it, and is required only for certain document types in certain states. Platforms price them separately, and you can usually bring your own witness at no charge.
