- Can a patient in a hospital bed do this?
- Yes, if they can see and hear the notary on a phone, tablet or laptop and confirm their identity. The notary must be satisfied they understand what they are signing.
- Are remotely notarized healthcare directives valid?
- In many states, yes. Some states require specific witnesses or don't accept remote notarization for directives, so check your state's rules before relying on one.
- Can we add witnesses?
- Yes. Use your own witnesses, or request identity-verified remote witnesses for the session.
- What if the patient has no ID with them?
- Every signer needs a government photo ID — a driver's license, state ID or passport — to pass identity verification.
- How is it priced for a facility?
- Per session on a business account, with volume pricing for regular use. A single session starts at the standard public price.
