- Will my school accept an online notarization?
- Remote online notarization is legal in most states and widely accepted, but the office asking for the form decides. If you're unsure, check with them first.
- I don't have a Social Security number. Can I still do this?
- Yes. Answer “no” at the ID step and we connect you with a notary commissioned in a state that doesn't require SSN-based identity questions. Use your passport.
- How long does it take?
- Usually under 10 minutes once you're connected. Notaries are available 24/7.
- What do I need?
- The unsigned document, a government photo ID or passport, and a phone or laptop with a camera. Don't sign it beforehand — you sign on video with the notary.
- Can my school pay for it?
- If your school has a campus account, the office can send you a link that's already paid. Otherwise it's $25, paid by you.
- Can our staff notarize?
- Yes, if they hold an online notary commission in their state. They run sessions under your campus account.
Get it notarized before the deadline.
